3 December 2016. Lumphini Park.

Another nice sunny day! I set off to get the other flip flop glued for 10 baht and then decided to have a look at Lumphini Park. I'd been there on my day of arrival a couple of years ago and so had a rather jet-lagged and hazy view of it.

The entrance has an imposing statue of King Rama VI.

The park itself is very pleasant, if not particularly large - it offers a nice oasis from the bustle of the city and with surprisingly few people making use of it.

The walk through the park took me up to the start of Lang Suan Road which runs up to Phloen Chit Road. The whole area seems quite classy with embassies and ex pats. However, it descends rather markedly as one gets to Sukhumvit.
